Arthur Bjorn Egeli (b. 1964) is an award-winning third-generation painter. He studied color with Henry Hensche, who had a major influence upon his style, as did his parents and grandparents. He was educated at the Severn School and University of Maryland (Creative Arts) and was recognized at a young age as a Promising Young Artist.
Represented by the Wohlfarth Gallery, the Egeli Gallery in Provincetown, and galleries in California, he has participated in countless exhibitions and shows. His paintings are in numerous private and corporate collections, including McGraw-Hill Publishing in New York City.
He was awarded the William Schultz Award for Oil Painting by the American Impressionists' Society, and won the Award of Merit by the Portrait Society of America for two consecutive years. In 2004 he won an award for composition at the Paint Annapolis Exhibition, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association.
