After working for many years in the Graphics field, he came back to his painting roots when he discovered the Cape Cod School of Art, America's first "plein air" art school established by Charles Hawthorne in 1899. He had previously studied art at Massachusetts College of Art and is a graduate of The Art Institute of Boston. Today he bases his work on the principles of the Cape Impressionist School with a slight touch of realism. Most of his work is done in the Outer Cape towns of Provincetown and Truro.
