Carl Lefton (died 2007): Represented by Thanassi Gallery in Provincetown. Studied: Alfred Univ. (BA in Fine Art), Brooklyn Museum School of Art, NYU, Pratt Institute and ASL in NY. Also studied under Milton Wright, Murray Hantman, Ruben Tam, Ad Reinhardt and Jimmy Ernst. Exhibited at many galleries in Boston including Matrix Gallery and Studio 34 in Provincetown. In many collections here, Boston, and Florida. We purchased this painting directly from the artist, who was then at Studio 34, Whaler's Wharf, in 2002, sharing space with artist Chuck Anzalone.
