Arthur W. McMurtry: Known as a designer, illustrator, teacher and painter. Studied at Mass. College of Art and Boston Univ. and under Cyrus Dallin, Ernest L. Major, Richard Andrews, Charles H. Richert and Otis Philbrick. Involved in the school systems of Yarmouth, Dennis, Brewster, Cambridge and Wethersfield, CT. and also Mass. College of Art, Harvard and Tufts Univ. Illustrator for Prentis Hall and Macmillan Publishing, US Air Force and Balloon Ast. Lab. Tuft's Univ. Awards include the "Valley Forge Freedom Foundations Award." Countless collections here and abroad and many corporate collections as well. Listed in "Who's Who in American Education" and "Who's Who in the East".
