Joan Pereira: (b.1921) Represented by Art Advertise, Hyannis, also in gallery in Santa Barbara. Studied at Albany Institute of History and Art, pilot member of FAWC for 3 years. Also studied under Hensche (3 years), Malicoat (6 years), Fritz Pfeiffer (1 season) and under Jim Forsberg, Bruce McKain, Edwin Dickinson and Myron Stought. Teaches at Castle Hill, PAAM. Works displayed in Truro, Bethlehem, PA., Pilgrim Monument, PAAM, P'town Town Collection, Indian Museum, Alaska, Bethlehem Historic Museum. Grants include 1971, Yale Univ., 1987, State of Mass. Extremely sought -out artist of Cape Cod. In countless collections here and abroad.
